Br. Leonard Roland Herinirina was born on May 1, 1983, in Antsirabe, Madagascar, into a devout Christian family. He began his Marist formation after completing secondary school, undertaking the interprovincial novitiate in Save, Rwanda, where he made his first profession in 2008 and his perpetual vows in 2015. He studied at Marist International University College in Nairobi, specializing in Mathematics and Physics, and completed postgraduate studies at Notre Dame of Marbel University in the Philippines. His ministry has been deeply connected to secondary education, serving as prefect, bursar, and principal in various schools. In 2017, he was elected to the Provincial Council of Madagascar, accompanying young brothers in their apostolic mission. He currently serves as the Provincial Coordinator for Marist Education in Madagascar, responsible for promoting and coordinating educational projects nationwide.
