Br. Leonardo Yepes was born on August 28, 1977, in Ibagué, Tolima (Colombia). He joined the Marist school in his hometown at age 11, where he discovered his religious and educational vocation. He began his Marist formation in Colombia: postulancy in Manizales, novitiate in Medellín, and scholasticate in Bogotá. He made his first religious profession in 1998 and his perpetual profession in 2005. He holds a degree in Theology from the Pontifical Javeriana University, a Master’s in Education and Social Development from the National Pedagogical University, and a PhD in Education and Society from La Salle University. He has served as a teacher and school administrator in several Marist institutions of the Norandina Province, as well as National Coordinator for Youth and Vocations Ministry. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Provincial Education Team and lives in the Marist community in Bogotá.
