Brother José Miguel Caballero Hierro was born in Getxo (Bizkaia, Spain) in 1967. He began his Marist formation in Arceniega and Miranda de Ebro, and made his first profession in 1986 in Venta de Baños. A naturalized Venezuelan since 1996, he has served in various ministries: youth animation, vocational ministry, catechist formation, and teaching in several schools in Venezuela. He was also a member of the American Network of Marist Spirituality. He served as novice master in Medellín and formation coordinator in Bogotá, overseeing initial formation for the Norandina Province. He was Provincial Councilor and delegate for Venezuela, and since 2024 he has been Vice-Provincial of the Marist Norandina Province. He holds a degree in Integral Education and specialized in biblical spirituality and formation.
