Br. Juan Carlos Robles Gil Torres, was born in Mexico City. He began his Marist formation in 1983 and made his first profession in 1991, followed by perpetual vows in 1997. He holds a degree in Primary Education, with specializations in Rural Development, Sustainable Societies, and Marist Charism and Pedagogy from PUC. He has served as a teacher and school leader in Marist institutions in Irapuato and Querétaro, and dedicated 16 years to grassroots ministries, including a boarding school for Indigenous youth in Ixtaltepec (Oaxaca) and mission work in Guadalupe, Chiapas, in collaboration with the Diocese of San Cristóbal de las Casas. He was also part of the Provincial Animation Team for five years. Currently, he is a member of the Provincial Council and the Economic Affairs Council of the Province of México Central. He supports the Patronato for Educational Outreach and co-leads the Marist Education for Buen Vivir Project, aimed at forming transformative individuals and promoting sustainable societies inspired by Laudato Si’.
