Br. Salvador Hidalgo del Cano was born in León, Spain, in 1970. He began his vocational journey in A Coruña and made both his first and perpetual profession in 1990. He holds a degree in Chemical Sciences and is trained to teach Religious Education at the secondary level. He has worked in various Marist educational centers and as an educator at the “Casa Hogar Volvoreta” care center. He has served as a teacher, pastoral coordinator, head of secondary studies, and principal at San José School in León, and has been involved with the MarCha youth movement. He was the coordinator of the Mission Council and currently leads the Evangelization team, is part of the Child Protection team, and presides over the Maristas Compostela and Juan Bautista Montagne foundations. He serves as Vice Provincial, Secretary of the Council, and member of the Provincial Council.
