Brother Daniel B. Martín de Paz, from the Province of América Central, was born 53 years ago in Valladolid, Spain. He encountered the Marist vocation as a child and completed his initial formation in Carrión de los Condes, Miranda de Ebro, and the novitiate in Venta de Baños. He made his first religious profession in 1991 and was sent to Guatemala, where he began his journey in the province that would become his home. He has served in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, and Honduras, mainly involved in youth ministry, education, and vocational accompaniment. He studied catechesis in Rome and has coordinated provincial teams in youth and catechetical ministry. He currently lives at the San José Formation House in Guatemala, where he accompanies postulants and scholastics and supports two educational missions.
