Br. João Carlos do Prado, General Councillor and liaison with the Communications Department, is a member of the Province of Brasil Centro-Sul. He was born on 15 January 1971 in Jaborá, Brazil. He made his first profession in 1992 and perpetual profession in 1999. He holds degrees in Religious Studies and Literature, a master’s degree in Education from PUCPR, and a specialization in Human Development Psychology. He carried out his educational and pastoral mission at the Frei Rogério School in Joaçaba from 1995 to 2002. He later coordinated the Pastoral Ministry of his province (2003–2008) and was a member of the Provincial Council. At the national level, he worked with the Marist Union of Brazil (UMBRASIL) as Mission Coordinator and later as Executive Secretary (2009–2010). From 2011 to 2016, he was part of the General Administration in Rome as Director of the Secretariat of Mission. In 2017, he undertook a formative experience in New York, in preparation for beginning a doctorate in Education.
