Br. Ben Consigli, member of the United States Province, was born in New York, United States, on November 25, 1962. He made his first profession in 1989 and his perpetual profession in 1995. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Humanities from Queens College, City University of New York, a Master’s degree in History Teaching from Rutgers University, New Jersey, and a diploma in Educational Administration from Saint John’s University, New York. During his initial formation, he taught at Molloy High School in New York and later at Roselle Catholic High School in New Jersey. From 1995 to 2000, he served as bursar at Molloy. In 2000, he was appointed director of Saint Joseph Academy in Brownsville, Texas, and in 2001, he became vice-provincial of the Esopus Province. In the United States Province, he has held various roles such as provincial councillor, member of the economic team, vice-provincial, assistant to the provincial, and director of Marist education. He served as Provincial from 2009 to 2015. During his sabbatical year (2015-2016), he studied at the School of Applied Theology in Berkeley, California. He was elected General Councillor in 2017.
