Br. Félix Rodríguez is originally from a small town in the province of Valladolid, Spain. He began his Marist journey at the age of 13 at the Juniorado Hispanoamericano and made his first vows in June 1982. That same year, he was sent to Santiago, Chile, where he took his first steps in the Marist mission in the Americas and began his university studies. In 1983, he moved to Lima, becoming part of the former Marist Province of Peru. After completing his professional training at the Universidad Marcelino Champagnat in Lima, he served as a teacher, novice formator, school principal in various Marist schools, and academic director of the same university from 2004 to 2025. In 2007, following a formation period in Davao (Philippines) with the Ad Gentes program, he was sent to Montreal. There, he collaborated in parish sacramental ministry in Edmundston (NB) and Drummondville (QC), as well as in diocesan youth ministry. From 2015 to 2020, he was actively involved in Valcartier with Vallée Jeunesse, supporting adolescents facing academic adaptation challenges. Since late 2021, he has served as District Bursar, and since October 2023, he has been leading the life and mission of the District of Canada as its Superior. He currently resides at the Maison Mariste Champagnat, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
