Br. Moisés Alonso was born in Amaya (Burgos, Spain) on December 31, 1954. He completed his initial Marist formation at the juniorates of Villalba (Madrid) and Sigüenza (Guadalajara), and the novitiate in Maimón (Córdoba), where he made his first profession on June 29, 1973. He earned a diploma in Teaching in Alcalá de Henares, studied Theology at the diocesan seminary of Madrid, and obtained a degree in Geography and History from the Complutense University. He dedicated over thirty years to education in Marist schools and formation houses of the former Province of Madrid (Villalba, San José del Parque, Toledo, Navalmoral de la Mata, and Chamberí), taking on teaching, coordination, and youth ministry roles. He served for four years on the provincial Mission Team. From 2002 to 2010, he was director of the Chamberí school and served as a delegate to the 2009 General Chapter. Between 2010 and 2021, he lived in Alcalá de Henares, serving as coordinator of the Council of Educational Works and later as Provincial (2015–2021). He took part in the 2017 General Chapter in Rionegro (Colombia). Since 2021, he has lived in Navalmoral de la Mata, contributing to social ministry, accompanying laypeople in their Marist vocation journey, and supporting various provincial tasks.
