Br. Abel Muñoz was born in Tudela (Navarre, Spain) in 1974 and grew up in the town of Villafranca. He began his Marist formation at the seminary in his hometown and continued in Lardero, where he deepened his vocation accompanied by brothers who influenced his journey. He made his first religious profession in Biurrun, alongside his formation companion Patxi. Later, he studied Biology, combining his academic interest with preparation for educational mission. He lived for 18 years in Bilbao, where he was involved in vocational community, youth ministry, educational management, animation, and university collaboration. This period was fundamental for the discernment and consolidation of his Marist vocation. In 2016, he was invited by Br. Moisés Alonso, then Provincial, to join the animation team of the Ibérica Province, based in Alcalá de Henares. From there, he accompanied various mission realities. In October 2021, he was appointed Provincial by Br. Ernesto Sánchez, Superior General. Since then, he has continued his service to Marist life through animation, listening, and accompaniment, with fidelity to the vocation received.
