Br. Francisco José Ebo, member of the Provincial Council of Southern Africa, was born on 28 July 1978 in Ndalatando, a small city in northern Angola. He joined the Marist Brothers in 1995 as a junior in his hometown, where a Marist community still exists. He completed part of his primary education and all his secondary education at the Marist Juniorates in Ndalatando and Kuito–Bié (1995–2001). He completed his postulancy in Kabwe, Zambia (2002), and his novitiate in Kutama, Zimbabwe (2003–2004). He made his first profession in Angola in 2004 and his perpetual vows in 2011, also in Angola. He has carried out his mission in the field of education and is currently the principal of the Marist school in Luanda. He also serves on the Provincial Council of Southern Africa. He describes himself as a joyful Brother, passionate about Marist life and close to young people. He enjoys teaching, reading, and sports.
