Br. Yao Aristide Ghislain, originally from Côte d’Ivoire, began his Marist formation in 2011 with postulancy in Tatum, Cameroon, followed by the novitiate in Kumasi, Ghana, where he made his first religious profession on June 14, 2014. He continued his scholasticate at the Marist International Centre (MIC) in Nairobi, Kenya, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Biology and Chemistry) and a diploma in Religious Studies. He began his apostolic mission in Accra, Ghana, at Our Good Mother School, teaching French, science, and religious education (2018–2020). From 2020 to 2022, he served at Collège Catholique Marcellin Champagnat in Korhogo, northern Côte d’Ivoire, teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Religion. Since 2022, he has been on mission in Spain, in the Mediterránea Province, serving as part of the provincial team for vocation promotion and animation. His intercultural experience contributes to his work in youth and community ministry. He speaks French, English, and Spanish, and is interested in the intersection of science, technology, and spirituality in education.
