Br. Albert Rivera has been a Marist Brother for 27 years, dedicating his life to education, ministry, and service in the spirit of Saint Marcellin Champagnat. Over the course of his vocation, he has served as a teacher and campus minister in several schools. His leadership roles have included serving as Vocation Director, Director of Marist Youth Ministry, and a member of the Province Leadership Team. Beyond his local ministries, Brother Al has contributed to the National Organizations within the United States such as the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, the Religious Formation Conference and a board member of the Religious Brothers Conference. In addition, Al has served the Marist Institute on an international level, participating in various committees and offering his skills as a translator to strengthen communication and collaboration across cultures. Currently, Brother Al ministers at Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, Florida, where he serves as the Director of Service Learning, fostering a culture of compassion, solidarity, and justice among students. He also serves as the Executive Secretary for the Marist Region of Arco Norte, supporting regional initiatives that unite Marist provinces of Canada, the United States, Mexico, Central America and Norandina.
