At thirty-two years of age, Br. Rubel Raphael Nokrek, (born November 14, 1992) stands as a pioneering figure in the Marist Brothers community, carrying the distinction of being the first Bangladeshi to join this esteemed religious congregation. His journey of faith and dedication has taken him across three nations, each marking significant milestones in his spiritual and academic development. Born and raised in Bangladesh, Br. Rubel embarked on his religious vocation with unwavering commitment. In 2018, he took his first vows as a Marist Brother in Sri Lanka, marking the beginning of his formal journey within the congregation. Six years later, in 2024, he returned to Bangladesh to take his final vows, completing his formation as a fully professed Marist Brother. Currently, he is pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a major in English (BSE-Eng) in the Philippines, where he is now in his fourth and final year of study. This academic pursuit reflects his commitment to educational excellence and preparation for future ministry in teaching. Looking ahead, Br. Rubel expresses great enthusiasm about the upcoming General Chapter, where he anticipates meeting fellow Marist Brothers and lay collaborators from around the world. Beyond his religious and academic commitments, he maintains a balanced lifestyle through regular exercise and enjoys reading story books for relaxation and continuous learning. As the first Bangladeshi Marist Brother, Br Rubel continues to inspire others through his dedication, pioneering spirit, and commitment to the Marist mission of education and youth ministry
